How does the Refer-A-Friend program work?
We get it – you want the people in your life to experience the same outstanding service that you enjoy! To share Just Energy with your family and friends, simply send them your unique referral code or link. Once your referral makes their first bill payment, you will both receive a $100 bill credit in your account. * Of course, a few conditions do apply. See below for a full list of our terms and conditions.
Where can I find my unique referral code?
Your unique referral code, link, or QR code can be found on your bill statement. Can’t find a copy of your bill? No problem. Simply log in to your customer portal to access your most recent statement.
Is there any limit to how many friends I can refer?
Not at all! Invite as many friends, family members, and colleagues as you want. Remember, the more people you invite, the more account credits you’ll earn.
How will I know if someone uses my code?
We will send you an email once your unique referral code is successfully redeemed.
When will I receive my bill credit?
Once your referral pays their first month’s bill in full, a $100 credit will be applied to each of your accounts.
How will I know when the credit has been applied?
We will send you an email once your bill credit is successfully applied to your account. Then all you need to do is sit back and enjoy the savings!
Can I refer a business to the Refer-A-Friend program?

Are there any conditions that must be met to earn the $100 bill credit?
There are a few conditions that keep our Refer-A-Friend program working smoothly.
- Your friend must enroll in a 12+ month postpaid energy plan.
- Your account must be active and in good standing.
- Your friend must make their first full month bill payment before credit is applied.
*Terms and conditions apply. Refer a Friend program is valid for Texas customers only. After Just Energy successfully enrolls a new customer (Referee) in a residential plan with a 12-month term or longer using the unique Referral Code of the referring customer, and the Referee pays their first full month Just Energy electricity bill, the Referring customer and Referee will each receive a one-time bill credit on their next billing statement. Just Energy will not be responsible for issuing bill credits on enrollments received without the Referral Code. The $100 electric bill credit has no cash value and can only be applied as a credit on an active customer’s Just Energy bill. Any remaining bill credit will be carried forward onto the next billing statement. The $100 electric bill credit is non-transferable. This offer is valid only in conjunction with applicable plans available directly on our website or by phone. Each customer must be active, and their account must be in good standing on a postpaid residential plan throughout the referral process. Referral code must be used at the time of enrollment and cannot be retroactively applied. Just Energy referral codes are only valid on plans offered by Just Energy. Employee electricity plans or referrals do not qualify for Refer a Friend credit. The Referring Customer’s unique referral code can be used unlimited times.
